Hudson

HUDSON formed in 2013, though the seeds for the band's roots were planted several years before. Guitarist Chris Sayre and bassist Brian Cohen--who've produced, written for, and toured with a number of major label artists--met singer David Hudson at a show. After hearing David sing a cover of The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army," they were immediately taken with the whiskey-soaked growl coming through his microphone and knew that they had stumbled onto something special. The two recall, "We grew up listening to great singer/songwriters like Bob Dylan, who had a tone that was unique and memorable, and when we first heard David we knew we had to work with him. We were looking for a lead singer who had the tone, songwriting skills and attitude on stage to head the next big rock 'n' roll band. We saw the potential in David and knew we had to find a way to work together." Sayre called up Christian Thierbach IV whom he'd met while attending a high school summer program at Berklee College of Music to provide his thunderous percussion skills and round out the quartet in late 2013. HUDSON found their sound during a streak of live performances in early 2014, which included a two-month month residency at the world-famous Viper Room and multiple performances at SXSW. The band took a break to record their debut EP In The Unknown which was released in June 2014. The lead single "Weightless" received critical acclaim and was put in rotation at over 100 non-commercial and college radio stations across the U.S. In October of 2015, the band released their sophomore EP Cast Out on iTunes. The official video for the self-titled single "Cast Out" has received nationwide airplay on 50+ commercial FM stations, and is receiving regular rotation on MTV Live. HUDSON will be touring the nation and rocking a city near you, make sure not to miss it.
